Maintenance Manager:
Direct supervision of maintenance team and day to day maintenance operations. Maintenance Manager reports directly to the Director of Operations and President. Maintenance activities are executed in a safe manner to improve reliability of machinery, reduce downtime, care for buildings and grounds and ultimately to improve the quality of product. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Oversee complete maintenance program including documented maintenance programs supporting plant safety, SQF, GMPs, etc. Repairs of food processing equipment as well as facility maintenance.
- Supervision, hiring, training, scheduling, discipline and all the department's employee issues to meet the company's and/or operation's needs.
- Promote a team or teamwork environment and accountability.
- Apply disciplinary actions in accordance with company policies.
- Maintain and promote a safe work environment for department and all company employees.
- Troubleshooting of equipment and production line failures.
- Facilitate corrective action plans and documentation for all Quality Control Programs.
- Maintain good record keeping within CMMS and accounting software application
- Maintain inventory of parts/tools/supplies.
- Aid in the installations of new equipment and capital improvements.
- Facilities Maintenance management such as HVAC, roofing, painting, plumbing, wiring, electrical, telecommunications, landscaping, grounds, etc.
- Control and reduce costs of repairs and maintenance.
- Schedule and execute preventative maintenance.
- Communicate with line supervisors, production manager and operations manager throughout daily procedures.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering preferred; equivalent experience considered.
- 5+ years maintenance leadership experience in food manufacturing.
- Electrical – 3 phase 480VAC, control circuits of 110VAC and 24DC, AB PLCs.
- Welding – TIG and stick.
- Cutting - torch, band saw, grinder, plasma cutter.
- Fabricating – able to fabricate simple guards, covers, catch pans, etc.
- Drilling/ Milling – knowledge of use: power drills, dill press, mill and lathe machines.
- Experience with ERP, CMMS and preventative maintenance software programs
- MS Office – fluent in MS Outlook, MS Excel, MS Word.
- Good communication and leadership skills.
- Experience in a manufacturing setting, food experience preferred.
- Supervisory/Management experience required.
- Knowledge of maintenance functions such as electrical, electrical controls, PLCs, plumbing, conveyors, motors/gearboxes, read schematics/blueprints.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Pushing, pulling, bending
- Able to work on feet for the entire shift.
- Perform tasks requiring standing, lifting, pulling, climbing of machinery and/or tooling.
- Work in walk in coolers with 38 degree temperatures.
- Able to lift 50lbs
