Hood Lumber, a division of Hood Industries, Inc. is seeking a  Maintenance Manager  for our Bogalusa, LA facility.  The mill has approximately 130 employees.  This position is responsible for the management and coordination of all mechanical and electrical work in the facility.  It includes the maintenance, repair, and update of all equipment , machinery, structures and utilities for the mill.  They would also be responsible for maintaining preventive maintenance plans and procedures for responding to equipment or plant operating problems.  Additionally, experience in selecting and developing maintenance personnel with assurances the maintenance department employees are appropriately skilled and trained.   Position Description:   Initiates, implements, and manages the plant maintenance program based on best practices in the lumber industry, with an emphasis on planning/scheduling and preventive/predictive maintenance.
